Credit Controller performs an independent oversight, monitoring and control of credit risk and credit risk management. Credit Controller monitors and controls the quality of the credit processes as well as the quality of the credit portfolio according to internal guidelines to meet regulatory requirements and strategic goals of the Bank.


  • Establishes and maintains the credit control function and assessing its setup, functioning and effectiveness. Plans, organises and manages work of Credit Control function in his/her local country according to the Group Credit Control guidelines and annual plans
  • Ensures credit risk in Luminor’s local country to be identified, assessed, monitored, tested and independently reported, and organization advised on in accordance with applicable laws, policies and regulations
  • Manages the implementation of all aspects of the credit control function, including implementation of processes, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor and report credit risk
  • Monitors quality of the credit portfolio and credit processes (credit memos, rating process, loan documentation and registration, problem customers etc.)

Professional competences

  • Strategic planning and  the understanding organization´s business strategy
  • Effective governance, oversight, control and risk managemen
  • Financial market and banking practices
  • Extensive experience in risk management, compliance, internal control functions
  • Extensive experience in  communicating with regulators and managing regulatory enquiries and inspections
  • Working in cross-border/ matrix environment
  • Stakeholder and people management

Educational background:

  • Higher education in finance, economics or similar
  • Track of record of continuous professional education
  • Documented up to date skills within area of profession


  • Full working proficiency in Lithuanian and in English

 A salary range for this position from 3000 EUR (Gross), which is to be determined depending on the level of experience and competencies of the selected candidate.
